Series Note: According to Wikipedia, "Beginning in the 1950s Dover... issued a series of Listen & Learn language courses prepared primarily using teachers from Columbia University."
In the 1950s titles in the series were issued as a booklet accompanied by LPs [long-playing records]. In later years each title was issued as two booklets (a manual and a grammar) accompanied by audio cassettes. In the final years (e.g. 2006) each titles was issued as a booklet accompanided by CDs [compact discs].
The alternative name for this series was: "for travel and study" (e.g. the volume Italian (Listen and Learn) was also issued as Italian for Travel and Study).
