LES UPANISHAD - LIST
Series Note: This series was launched in 1943 in Paris by La Librairie d'Amérique et d'Orient Adrien-Maisonneuve. It was then published from 1972 by La librairie d'Amérique et d'Orient Jean Maisonneuve successeur, and then from 2017 by Editions Claire Maisonneuve SAS. More details about the changes in the publishing company: Editions Maisonneuve et Librairie and Historique.

The content of the original 22 volumes which were published over the decades (see list below) is currently available in eleven volumes. In many cases several of the former volumes have been combined into a single new volume, e.g, the three original volumes I, II and III are currently available as one combined volume (referred to as Volume 1-2-3). See the currently available eleven volumes here: Collection Upanishad.

For a useful summary (in French) of what each of the upanishads in the currently available eleven volumes is about, click on the following link and then click on the words "En savoir plus" under the image of each volume: COLLECTION : Les Upanishad.

The founding series editor was Louis Renou. See: Louis Renou (French Wikipedia) and Louis Renou (English Wikipedia).

Credit: The book series Les Upanishad was suggested by Mr. John Mellman, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States.
