The series name, Les Beaux Pays, means "The Beautiful Countries" or "The Beautiful Lands" in French.

A magnificent and extensive series named Les Beaux Pays was earlier published in France by Arthaud [A. Arthaud]. Titles from that series were translated into English for this Nicholas Kaye series and also into other European languages (e.g. Spanish) published by other publishers on the Continent.

Format: Hardback with dust wrapper. Each volume contains about 250 pages and 200 heliogravure plates.
